While working on an art project, an amateur artist accidentally cuts off his hand.
4. A Day from Hell
A chronically ill 6-year-old boy is brought to the ER. The doctor thinks the boy's being poisoned by his mother.
5. Prepare for the Worst
Members of rival gangs are admitted and their fellow gang members come to the ER; Sister Della Rosa is admitted with trouble breathing, and she doesn't want treatment; A surgeon loses his fingers in a saw accident; A patient has cut his fingers and tells conflicting stories about how it happened.
6. No Down Time
A patient who was completely unconscious suddenly awakens; a family of three has a mysterious condition; a man walks into the ER with a knife wound and refuses help.

One patient arrives with a tree branch stuck through his neck while doctors are treating ten teens that have been critically injured.

Another day, another surprise pregnancy. A woman in the ER discusses whether she's ready to be a mother.

It's a busy day in the ER as Dr. Heilbron battles to treat a man whose intestine has come out, among others.

A boy is rushed in after breathing in an unspecified poisonous chemical. Has it permanently damaged his lungs?
15. Surgery Won't Help
Crisis breaks out in ER when a depressed man walks in, pulls out a gun and takes a doctor hostage.
