The picture tells about the spiritual, religious essence of the creative ministry of the master, each film of which is a confession before the Lord and people. The basis of the film is the confessional diaries of Andrei Tarkovsky and Nikolai Burlyaev, who played the main roles in the films Ivan's Childhood and Andrei Rublev.
