Synopsis

In post-war Shanghai, idealistic law graduate Gu Yaodong becomes a policeman, only to face corruption and political turmoil. Caught between the Communists and Nationalists, he teams up with unexpected allies and sets out on a path of resistance, determined to fight for justice.
